Tega, also known as TMD, makes his acting debut in this highly anticipated project. Despite being new to the screen, he has already made an impression.RMD took home Best Actor, while Tega earned an honorable mention as Best Supporting Actor. Their joint appearance is already being hailed as a significant moment in Nollywood, and this early acclaim has only intensified the buzz.

The movie follows Voke, a Nigerian oncologist portrayed by Richard Mofe‑Damijo (RMD), who relocates to Utah with his American wife and fellow oncologist, Melissa (played by Tanya Price). Their love is tested by infertility, cultural displacement, and hidden past traumas that threaten their marriage—and their shared career at a medical center.

The movie was set across Nigeria and Utah in the United States, Revelations presents a cross-cultural narrative that explores family, identity, and faith. At its core, the story follows a Nigerian-American couple dealing with infertility and spiritual conflict. While the film leans into emotional storytelling, it also incorporates visual elements inspired by the American Western genre, giving it a unique tone that sets it apart from typical Nollywood releases.

The film explores themes of cultural identity, emotional healing, and resilience, all set against a Western, snow-covered backdrop—quite unusual for Nollywood(something quite unique and fresh from the usuals).

The movie stars Richard Mofe-Damijo, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Oghenetega Mofe Damijo, Tanya Price, Alex Boyé and a few others.

At the recent Utah International Film Festival, Revelations stood out with multiple awards:

Best International Film

Best Actor – RMD

Best Producer – Tanya Price

Best Country Song – Alex Boyé

Honorable Mentions – Oghenetega for Supporting Actor, and Ensemble Cast
These accolades underline the film’s impact in bridging Nollywood with international cinematic standards

Revelations is a fresh and ambitious cross-cultural drama—visually striking, emotionally grounded, and narratively layered. It boldly expands Nollywood’s horizons by placing authentic storytelling within new landscapes and cinematic contexts. While community-wide audience reactions are still unfolding, early reviews and festival honors signal that it’s a notable addition to modern Nigerian cinema.

The film is a collaboration between Nollywood and Hollywood, released in cinemas nationwide on August 15, 2025.

The movie still shows in cinemas and we think it has a fresh appeal and you should see it if you have not.

From All of Us at Real Nollywood, we rate the movie a 68%.
