PONZI

 PLOT

“Ponzi” is a satirical comedy which centres on a society filled with many low class earning neighbors who set out to be financially independent by investing in a Ponzi investment scheme, however they soon find out they were swindled, and then choose to embark on an amateurish heist. What would later happen? You should see it.

A Kayode Kasum film produced by Vincent Okonkwo and written by Toluwani Obayan.

The movie couldn’t have come at a better time than this, as it tends to experimentally depict an aspect of the Nigerian society where quite a number of people seek quick money making schemes. On the plot side does this movie score a high mark.

Though not with many A-class actors, the movie however does a good job in presenting quality acting. Worthy of note is the presence of Mr Macaroni and Broda Shaggi, two prominent social influencers.

Nollywood must really be commended for the growth over the years. Great cinematography it must be said. Quite a number of scenes were captivating.

Star performer- Zubby Michael
I think Zubby Michael takes this, starring as Charles, his role was quite relatable, he was to portray a street thug who would stop at nothing to oppress anyone who came between him and his money, and delivering it the way he did shows some impeccability.

Can do better performer- Tope Tedela
Is it just me or Tope Tedela’s role starring as Tafa looked a little unrealistic. For a barely educated grill and bar owner, his articulation looked too refined. The role wasn’t well depicted.
