LIVING IN BONDAGE: BREAKING FREE
1.A movie that portrays the ills of desperation for wealth and success is a laudable one. Almost all young men today, are in desperation to 'hit it big'. Some even go as far as into occult means to get wealth, I think on this plot style is my first positive.
2.The acting was real. The movie clearly has a star cast. A movie with A-list actors as Ramsey Nouah, Kanayo o Kanayo, Kenneth Okonkwo, Bob Manuel Udokwu, etc surely already has a default standard setting of excellent acting. I think they all measured up to their professionalism.
3.The soundtracks were very great as well. The soundtracks clearly portray the message the various scenes were passing across.
4. Okay, the costume guys were fantastic, this movie showed so much opulence. I must commend both the producers and the costume guys for such selection of wears.
5. Contemporary Nollywood has begun a journey into perfection. The
cinematography was great. We really can't fault this one. The scenery and imagery were captured with so much beauty.
NEGATIVES
1. My first negative will be the transition of Nnamdi Okeke(Swanky J.K.A) from poverty to wealth. There are similarities of people who transit from poverty to wealth suddenly, I don't think this similarities were portrayed well, or could that just be the story line? I just didn't 'feel' that part at all, seemed quite fake.
2.I feel the end was inconclusive, looks like there might just be another sequel to this. Was Nnamdi Okeke's near-death experience the 'sacrifice' to have him alleviated from the brunts of the brotherhood? With what the writer made us see in this movie this had to do with bloodline. So, what really is the end?
A movie that should be seen. A thriller that would leave you glued to your screen till the end. Nollywood has really surged forward
P:S - There are 'scary' scenes *winks*

A Ramsey Noah film produced by Charles Okpaleke, Steve Gukas, Dotun Olakunri. A Play Network Studios, Natives Filmworks, Michael Angelo production.
The fact this movie portrays the aftermath of the desperation of men in the race to acquire wealth through evil and occultic means is a plus for me. Though mixed with entertainment, but it educates all especially the youths who are in desperate chase after fame and wealth. It scores high for me on this plot. Movies should be a way of reforming the society.
The acting in this movie was prolific. I also would give kudos to Ramsey Nouah who had his directorial debut and yet still pulled off a maestro from everyone in the delivery of this piece.
The cinematography was also excellent. I feel Nollywood has become a force to reckon with globally. Good stuff!
