The film tells the horrific story of a teenage girl raped during her prom night in 2005. the character endures the psychological aftermath of an assault. When she returns to Nigeria to prepare for her wedding, a confrontation with her past triggers turmoil that shakes the foundations of her present life.
Set in 2005, the story unravels one fateful night when everything changes in the blink of an eye. It’s a gripping drama that explores themes of love, friendship, and family.
The movie begins with a throwback scene that shows a harmless prom party turn to a bane in Ife’s life that will later leave scars in her life forever, Ife is a young girl and she does not know how to communicate this horror experienced to anyone, however, the past would later be confronted when she is all grown and ready to get married and this ugly past must be faced.
One beautiful thing about the movie is that it has a story line that addresses abuse, and that makes it very contemporary and important, it does show that anyone who is abused in any way or the other must be bold to speak without facing the fears of the trauma. The stortyline was great.
Another great thing about the movie was the cinematography, the visuals made us enjoy the screen as we paid attention to the storyline,

Ini-Dima Okojie playing the role of Ife really made us teary while watching her, she did communicate and take us into the world faced by the abused, it was quite an emotional one, we loved what we watched.
