RED CIRCLE: A FUSION OF KING OF BOYS AND OMO GHETTO!

If you saw King of Boys and you liked it, and you saw Omo Ghetto and you liked it. Just go and see Red Circle! You are sure going to love it.

First before saying much, I must really applaud the whole crew for such an enjoyable watch. Red circle surely was a story well told.

The movie revolves around Fikayo Holloway(Folu Storms), a stubborn bright eyed journalist who relentlessly embarks on a life-threatening quest to uncover a powerful syndicate, having lost her best friend, Venita(Omowunmi Dada) to the atrocities of the syndicate. While on this quest she discovers the syndicate is more powerful than she thinks and not just only powerful, but very familiar ties are involved. She is caught in a web, how to avenge her best friend and on the other hand, how to unravel the mystery that looks closer to her than she ever imagined. On the other hand, Oshisco, an area boy who has an unhidden attraction towards Venita takes it upon himself as well to assist in unconvering this syndicate, battles are fought in fierce tussles and layers of secrets unravelled. What happens next shows at the cinema.

The plot in Red Circle was well structured. From ambition to vengeance to power tussles, the viewers are not left hanging in what each scene carries. I like the fact that attention was paid to story development.

Also, the twist was amazing, Chairman’s move to save his daughter was totally unpredicted, and then the final scene revealing who the real Chairman actually was despite believing something else was amazing! I totally loved the clever twist.

The inconclusive ending did show we are expecting a part 2, and I just hope the part 2 will be a continuation of a well-done first part.

The movie had similar fight scenes like Omo ghetto, and the fight scenes were intriguing, street fight and nothing superficial. It was clear the director wanted to pay attention to details.

The cinematography was well done. Nothing unusual. The costume was also decent, every cast was dressed according to their roles.

All justice is done to the movie with perfect execution, and every scene and shot is essential for viewers to understand the story; nothing is a coincidence in the movie, designed with top-notch cinematography, a well-structured script, and post-editing dedication.

Some cast in this are : Folu Storms, Omowunmi Dada, Femi Branch, Bukky Wright, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Mike Afolayan, and a few others.

It was also nice to see debut for Nigerian Rapper, Michael Ugochukwu ‘Ruggedman’ Stephens.

Star Performer- Femi Branch and Lateef Adedimeji

Femi Branch does bring some of his sauce to his role as Chairman. He carries that fearsome aura which gives vigour and vibrancy to his role.

On the other hand, Lateef Adedimeji once again serenaded us with his versatility. This time acting as a tout, he does deliver impeccably. It’s really difficult picking out stand out acts in such a movie as this, but these two

The movie was jointly produced by Nora Awolowo and Abdul-Tijani Ahmed and directed by Akay Mason.

Red Circle debut across cinemas on June 6, 2025.

From All of Us at RealNollywood, we rate the movie an 81%
