Inkblot productions(Big love)(Saving Onome) are out with another piece titled ‘The Betrayed’ and it shows in the cinemas.
Just as the title suggests. ‘The Betrayed’ is a story that focuses on what happens when trust is broken. The plot revolves around murder, conspiracy, secrecy, love and sacrifice. Amarachi’s (Uche Montana) life was a picture-perfect fairytale. Until her husband, Bala(Gabriel Afolayan) was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend. With a web of secrets tangled around him, Amarachi is thrown into a world of doubt. Will she uncover the truth, or is her dream life a shattered illusion?
One beautiful thing that made the movie worth watching asides the storyline was the nice choice of locations, it could be well said that scenery was well though out. The choice of cast in this was also nice, Gabriel Afolayan and Uche Montana as lead casts did deliver their roles well, we journeyed through the ordeals faced by both Bala and Amarachi through their many expressions.
However, the way the movie ended, it did seem more of a fantasy, how did the secrets around the murder get unraveled that way? No spoilers, you might just have to see the movie for yourself, it streams across notable cinemas nationwide.
