THE DELIVERY BOY

by

PLOT
The Delivery Boy is an epic tragedy which tells the story of Amir, a teenage orphan boy, who runs into a young girl while trying to escape a mob. She is a prostitute with an agenda and he has a bomb vest under his dress. They are both running out of time and they soon realise they need each other to achieve their goals.
Before the night ends, they will have to contend with each other, Amir’s group, the knowledge of the terrible secrets that made them who they are, and the consequences of living in a society that doesn’t care.
Their journey takes them through the underbelly of the city exposing the hidden back side of the African Society and its dangerous culture of silence in the presence of evil. The movie starts with Amir, getting ready for a suicide mission which however would later be a revenge mission against the atrocities suffered from Mallam Saddan, his Quranic teacher. Throughout this journey of revenge, lives are lost, gimmicks are made, but like it’s said “all is fair in love and war”, the movie however ends on a tragic note.

A ” Something unusual studios” production, written and directed by Adekunle Adejuyigbe. This piece definitely will leave you thrilled and enthralled from the very beginning till the end. It really is not your everyday Nollywood movie I must say.

Also worthy of note is the few cast in such a blockbuster. The acting must be commended, they really did pull “a rabbit out of the hat”. The main cast really measured up to the suspense and intrigue in this.

Considering the fact that the director Adekunle Adejuyigbe was also in charge of the screenplay and yet he pulled out such a great movie, I feel he deserves some accolades. The screenplay was great in my opinion. The action scenes were also fascinating.

The cinematography was also good, considering this movie didn’t have so much cast, and yet such excellent performance was pulled off. This was great work. Impressive

Star Performer- Jammal Ibrahim
Jammal Ibrahim(Amir) who is the star cast really pulled off his role well. His delivery was quite intriguing. He did immerse himself in his role.

Can do better perfomer- Nil
It really isn’t easy pinpointing a lacklustre act, they all did okay.
